*Mileage is from Lawrenceburg to the city in which the university is located.
The proximity of the county to numerous universities offers the opportunity for collaborations with local high schools. Northern Kentucky University collaborates with South Dearborn High School so students may earn college credit before graduating high school. Cincinnati State Technical and Community College also cooperates with Lawrenceburg and South Dearborn High Schools. The college graduates more than 800 students each year, and has the fourth largest co-op program in the nation.
The Hamilton and Middletown branches of Miami University possess a unique status as community colleges. These schools are actually four-year colleges, but have all degrees awarded through the main Oxford campus. Students who attend branch campuses and complete at least 20 credit hours have the option of transferring to the Oxford campus, or remaining at their respective
branch campus.
